euqlic
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
euqlic ("we," "us," or "our") operates the euqlic shared task management application and the euqlic.com website. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email address and display name, used for authentication (you sign in with your Google or Microsoft account; we never see or store a password) and to identify you within your workspaces.
- Task data: task titles, notes, due dates, assignments, and other fields you enter.
- Usage data: which fields you correct after AI inference (stored to improve future suggestions for your account only).
- Voice recordings: audio captured when you use euqlic's mic button. Recordings are sent directly to OpenAI for transcription and are not stored by euqlic after transcription. If you instead use your device's built-in dictation (the mic on your phone or computer keyboard), speech-to-text is handled by your device's operating system, and euqlic only receives the resulting text.
- Error and performance data: if something goes wrong in the app, an error report is sent to our monitoring provider (Sentry). Reports can include your account ID and email address, your browser and device type, and technical details about the error, so we can find and fix the problem.
2. How we use your data
- To provide and operate the euqlic service.
- To show you in-app notifications about your tasks (for example, when a task is assigned to you, or work you requested is completed).
- To improve AI inference accuracy based on your past corrections (stored per user, never shared across workspaces).
- When you send feedback or an error report from inside the app, your message, its AI-generated summary, your account email, and your workspace name are emailed to our team so we can follow up.
- To operate and monitor the service, our team receives a daily internal summary of activity counts per account (for example, how many tasks were created or completed). It contains counts only — never task titles or other task content.
- We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
2a. Beta applications (euqlic.com website)
If you apply for the beta using the form on euqlic.com, we collect your name, email address, company website or LinkedIn page, industry, team size, and your answers to the questions in the form. We use this only to review your application and to contact you about the beta. We do not add you to marketing lists.
- Where it goes: your application is stored in our database and emailed to our team at hello@euqlic.com.
- Spam protection: to protect the form from automated abuse, your browser performs a small, invisible calculation before submitting (no third-party service is involved), and we keep a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address — never the IP address itself.
- Retention: applications are kept for 12 months and then deleted. The IP-address hashes are kept for 30 days.
- Your choices: you can ask us to delete your application at any time by emailing hello@euqlic.com.
3. Third-party services (subprocessors)
euqlic relies on the following third parties to operate:
- Supabase (supabase.com) — database, authentication, and backend infrastructure. SOC 2 Type II certified. Data stored in US-East-1 (AWS).
- OpenAI (openai.com) — voice transcription via Whisper API. Audio is sent to OpenAI only when you use the mic button. OpenAI's data retention policies apply.
- Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI task field inference via Claude API. Task descriptions are sent to Anthropic only when you use voice or the AI notepad. Anthropic's data retention policies apply.
- Bluehost — static file hosting for the web application frontend.
- Sentry (sentry.io) — error and performance monitoring for the web application, as described in section 1.
- Resend (resend.com) — email delivery. Used to send our team the beta applications, in-app feedback, and internal operational summaries described above.
4. AI features and opt-out
Voice recording and AI-powered field inference are optional features. To use euqlic without them, use the text input fields directly and avoid the mic button and AI notepad. No AI processing occurs unless you trigger these features explicitly.
5. Data retention
- Task data and account data are retained until you delete your account.
- Completion history is retained for 12 months.
- Voice recordings are not retained by euqlic after transcription.
- AI inference correction logs are retained per user and can be deleted on request.
- Beta applications submitted on euqlic.com are retained for 12 months; the IP-address hashes used for spam protection are retained for 30 days.
6. Local storage
euqlic stores the following data in your browser's local storage (not cookies). This data stays on your device and is never sent to third parties. All items are functional — they make the app work correctly across page loads and are not used for tracking or advertising.
| Key | Purpose |
| taskboard-ws | Active workspace ID — remembers which workspace you last had open |
| tb-last-active | Timestamp of last user interaction — used to sign you out automatically after 30 days of inactivity |
| tb-ai-consent | Flag recording that you acknowledged the AI features disclosure |
| tb-ios-banner-dismissed | Flag recording that you dismissed the iOS install banner |
| tb-fontsize | Your preferred font size setting |
| tb-palette | Your preferred color palette setting |
| tb-show-completed | Whether completed tasks are shown or hidden on the board |
| nudge-{taskId} | Per-task timestamp — enforces the 4-hour nudge rate limit |
| cols-init-{workspaceId}-{userId} | One-time flag — prevents duplicate column initialization on first sign-in |
You can clear all of these at any time via the hamburger menu → Advanced Settings → Clear Local App Data. This resets preferences and cached state but does not delete your account or workspace data. Clearing will re-show the AI features disclosure on your next task creation.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can export your workspace data at any time via hamburger → Advanced Settings → Export Data. To delete your account and all associated data, use hamburger → Advanced Settings → Delete Account. For other requests, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal information).
8. Children
euqlic is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes by updating the date above. Continued use of euqlic after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
